Descripción
Like two pieces of a puzzle that have been fitted together to form a stronger whole, Peru’s Bahuaja-Sonene National Park and Bolivia‘s Madidi National Park are permanently joined along the endlessly changing, silt-laden coils of the Health River. Together, the two parks protect some 3.3 million hectares (8.4 million acres) of wilderness area, forming one of the largest and most important bi-national conservation efforts in the world.
